The sequel of the serial «Under Mysterious Circumstances»

In February 2010 the «Fresh Production» film making company together with «Star Media» are launching production of two new parts of the TV series «Under Mysterious Circumstances» – «Merciless Love» and «The Next Station is Death», based on the script of famous Ukrainian writers Valerii and Nataliya Lapikura. It is planned to begin shooting in late March.

Today the serial consists of four two-episode parts joined by the same heroes and timeframes – 70-ies of the past century. The film lead is militia colonel nicknamed Starik (Old Man) played by Valerii Zolotukhin. He investigates complicated crimes of the soviet times together with his partner. Pavel Maikov plays Starik’s partner – militia inspector Aleksandr Kotin. Initially Pavel Maikov was planned to be the constant partner of Valerii Zolotukhin. However after shooting of the first part a replace was necessary due to mismatch of the shooting schedules. Therefore, according to the script, Kotin is offered a new job in KGB, and a new personage appears instead of him – senior lieutenant Aleksei Sirota played by Kirill Pletnoiv.

By now two parts of the serial have been shot. Two-series of «Merciless Love» will logically unit these two parts while «The Next Station is Death» will tell about new investigations of Starik and his partner.
