Ukraine is again caught the attention of filmmakers in Western Europe – the Italian-Ukrainian-American project “Easy” was supported by Ministry of culture of Italy, and shooting it will partially be held in the Carpathians.

…Actually, any movie has the same original and full of incredible, interesting intricacies of history of creation, development and distribution of life as people. Only this behind-the-scenes life of cinema, as human life, hidden to the public and accessible only to the initiated. But there is nothing more interesting than to lift the veil of mystery.

In fact, the project of full-length feature film “easy” is a drama with elements of black Comedy – supported not only Italian Goskino, but also ours, though few people know about it. There is nothing like it – once again – even in Ukraine had not happened. And this, in particular, is connected with that the project had not yet launched before the end of the financial’t formed, already has a U.S. distributor. Incredible fact that neither in Ukraine nor in the Soviet Ukraine had not happened. The novelty of this fact predetermined very interesting script, cool zameshannym on the universal drama: the fall and rebirth of the main character.

Actually, it all started three years ago, when representatives of the Ukrainian companies Fresh Production Julia Chernyavskaya, Oleg Shcherbina and Zaza Buadze, met at the session of the Mediterranean film Institute with representatives of the Italian company of the Universe Film Andrea of Manyani and Chiara barbeau. Ukrainians have edited the script of the project “Love is assassin”, and Italians are “easy”. And a year in the Kyiv office of Fresh Production received a letter in which a Director, screenwriter and producer Andrea, offered Ukrainians become full participants of the project “easy”. During the Berlin film festival 2012 partners hit on his hands.

Wonderful script had only one “but”: the story of the Venetian, which carries the coffin of the employee to the Balkans, but there is no word about Ukraine, which arose the question is how to link our Ukrainian company with not our context? Last summer the problem decided: it was suggested that the Balkans to Ukraine, Andrea and Chiara just came to see with his own eyes the possibility of filming. During the week the Italians visited Transcarpathia and the Carpathians, and even in Kamenets-Podolsk. And two months later, at an accelerated pace, was born a new scenario, in which the Venetian is carrying the coffin of the worker is already in Ukraine.

And such a turn is not far-fetched – he fit in the realities of the present. It is no secret that Italy is one of the largest areas of our Ostarbeiters. Most Western women are going in the Sunny Mediterranean country, working, who have – cleaners, models and, quite often, prostitutes. Though, as a few years ago told actor Michele Placido (“octopus”), it associates Ukrainian women are not the oldest profession in the world, and with the care of old: in his hometown clever Ukrainka so skillfully watched the old Italians that, ultimately, the entire center of town stood in their property, which they have inherited from the grateful dead. But apart from women, and many men are looking for better life and work. According to the scenario “easy” one of them was a 50-year-old house painter Taras, who was killed on the successful construction younger brother Izzy, Philo. Izzy: last outstanding racing driver “Formula 1″, in the present unemployed, which is in continuous depression living with the mother receives from Philo work – to carry the dead body of Ostarbeiter on the Hungarian-Ukrainian border. But at the border no one meets and decides to search in Ukraine place of birth and the place of the burial of Taras.

Izzy is short Isidoro, here is hidden word game: English Easy – it’s “easy”, “low” or “quiet ride.” On the one hand, it demonstrates the tranquility and the immaturity of the hero, and with another – contrasts with the “not quiet” way away, because the former racer, moreover, not quite adequate behavior, even rides in a hearse, competing on the Ukrainian roads with random “Mercedes”. With a career Ezy rider parted from the fact that once he fell asleep on the race, but in spite of this, the passion for speed-pilot of Formula 1″ nowhere never happened.

Tragedy and Comedy intersect in the scenario with one another, pretending and for real and eternal. For modern drama, created for a projection screen, a rather unusual case. But despite dramatic depth, the project is full demanded by the audience comedic moments, elements of a Thriller, detective and even mysticism.

In General, “easy” is a unique project. On the one hand, it attracts Western views, the other describes the Ukrainian reality, with cosmopolitan flair of the Carpathians, where live close to the Hungarians, Bulgarians and even Chinese Orthodox and Greek Catholics. A stunning journey ISI is a journey of man to himself, by physiologic and psychological torment and rebirth-this journey is understandable to the representative of any ethnic group, nation, or country. This project became interested in two large American distribution company – Shoreline Entertainment Group and Camelot Entertainment. Both at the film market has over 20 years and have extensive experience in the distribution (and production) of the films of “B”class. But if the first specializes in thrillers, horror films and action films, then the second – to a greater extent on youth comedies and films with a sci-Fi theme.

Conducting casting for the film, the producers decided that the mother of the main character will play the star of Italian cinema, Ornella Muti, and the priest, who out of love to the woman took off his cassock, Ukrainian actor Bogdan Benyuk. But the biggest intrigue remains the candidacy of actor for the main role. At the beginning of the creators seen in the role of a 40-year-old Italian Giuseppe Battiston (“Who I want more”). But then came the figure is now fashionable in Italy actor Nicolas Nocella (“Twenty cigarettes”).

Now, with the advent of interest us distributors, the situation has changed – it became worthwhile to consider two cinematically great acting persons, at least for producers from all three parties involved it is important to get to Hollywood film stars. The first of these is a wonderful actor Oliver Platt (“2012″), the second candidature – Jack black (“king Kong”). Without a doubt, the popularity bleck who made the cartoon “Kung Fu Panda” and “shark tale”, is more interesting from a business side, but the delicacy of Platt more relevant for the dramatic force.

Shooting begins in case of allocation of our Goskino funds during the spring – will occur in late summer or early fall. Shooting with an estimated budget of us $ 2 million will be in Italy, Hungary and Ukraine.
