“And God Stepped Out on Space” collects prizes

Short film “And God Stepped Out on Space” produced by Fresh Production Group with the support of Ukrainian State Film Agency  and  Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation “Development of Ukraine” one more time became one of the best films at two festivals.

In the middle of October this year, the short film won Grand Prix of All-Ukrainian Film Festival “Love will save world”. The festival is organized by the World eponymous children’s charity fund. The main themes of the festival became Love and Mercy, Morality and Spiritual development of man. The selection of entries to participate in the First All-Ukrainian Film Festival “Love Will Save the World!” was conducted by honoured participants of Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine, members of the National Union of Journalists, producers, writers and directors who were part of the Film Festival jury.

At the same time, in Kiev was held the XXth International Festival “Zolote Khurcha” where “And God Stepped Out on Space” won the main prize for “Best Feature Film”. According to the General Director of the festival Valentin Myslivyi: “Man is the creator of his own destiny, and love, mutual understanding, relationships between people can be resolved only by people themselves. This is what about the film “And God Stepped Out on Space” directed by Zazа Buadze. In general, professional camerawork, directing and acting work were definitely better than the other films presented at the festival, although the competition was great.  Over 180 TV and Radio companies and studios from Ukraine, the USA, Canada, Iran, France, Thailand, Georgia, Azerbaidzhan, Syria, Belarus, Russia, Armenia and Kazakhstan expressed their desire to participate in the competition program of the festival”.

It is worth reminding, that in addition to the above awards, the short film “And God Stepped Out on Space” in 2015 was awarded the 1st prize in the short film competition and the prize for Best Actor and Actress at the XIII International Film Festival “Pokrov”. In addition, it participated in many international film festivals: The 15th International Film Festival “Sofia Film Fest” (Bulgaria); Kyiv International Short Film Festival 2014; Odessa International Film Festival (the national competition program), 2014; 20th Athens International Film Festival (Greece), (competitive program), 2014 and the 24th Film Festival Cottbus (Germany), 2014.
