On the 21st of October within the framework of the Mannheim Meeting Place (ММР) was organized a discussion on the topic «Co-production and war». Over 20 European film producers took part in this event. Among them also were present the creators of «Ursus» project: Oleg Shcherbyna (Fresh Production, Ukraine), Otar Shamatava (O-Studio, Georgia), Stelios Zianis (Aktis Film Production, Germany) and Pavlina Zheleva (Geopoly Film, Bulgaria). MMP curator – Julek Kedzierzky, held the meeting.
In the course of the discussion, «Ursus» producers shared their experience of successful cooperation during coproduction. In addition, they told how they achieved the expected results in rough economic conditions.
Mannheim Meeting Place (ММР) – a professional section of International Film festival Mannheim-Heidelberg, which gathers world-known directors, producers, distributors and sales agents of music and film production market. It is, probably, the only co-production market in Europe, that gives an opportunity for start-up film producers to exchange experience during 10 weeks each year. It also allows working with experienced and gifted professionals, who can share their knowledge.
