It is a story of a composer, whose times of triumph are well in the past. He is terrified thinking of rising young stars atealing pieces of the fame pie. He blames others, and especially his wife Elena, for all his misfortunes except himself. In order to win back a capricious muse, Evgeny decides to change his life crucially … He finds a new source of inspiration: a naive 19-year-old Zhenya, who is head over heals in love with her teacher. But the wife is not the one to give up on her happiness and soon Evgeny is faced with having to line side by side with a fourth inhabitant of the once quiet apartment — a 28-year-old handsome Vadim. The composer did not expect such a turn of events…
