Award for Best Feature Film

On the twenties of February 2013, in Obninsk – the Russian city, with supporting of the Ministary of Culture of Russian Federation, the VIII International Sretensk Orthodox Film Festival “Vstrecha” took place.

The art film “The Bread day”, produced by Fresh Production Co., was passed a festival competition program & honored in several nominations:

- Award  in the nomination “The Best Feature Film”

- Award  in the nomination “The best male role” for Mikhail Zhigalov

- Award from the General sponsor of the Festival “Concern Rosenergoatom” LTD.

“The Bread day” film is drawing the attention of the International Orthodox Film Festivals for the second year, receiving the deserved reward & audience sympathy.

In autumn of 2012 the monk Sophia – the president of the festival “Vstrecha” entered the Х International Orthodox Film Festival “Pokrov” in Kiev. She viewed “The Bread day” film for the first time. Later it took part in the competition program & took a prize “Of the audience sympathy”. The film story so much impressed Sophia that she suggested the participating “The Bread day” in “Vstrecha” festival. It is the every year event in Obninsk under the supporting & blessing of the metropolitan of the Kaluga & Borovsk Kliment, under the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation & Kaluga Region Administration. It is the only festival in the world having a president & the organizer a monk Sophia (Ischenko). The aim of the festival is the apotheosis of the Orthodox way of life in modern world. The films, demonstrating during the festival – all about human lives, finding God & approaching to live under the laws of The God.
