On April 28, 1798 this, God inspired music, for the first time sounded in the Vienna Palace – Schwarzenberg. There was the whole town, a crowd of people surrounded the building, not even hoping to get inside. They simply wanted to, at least from the outside, share the excitement. The audience, who did not know Гендельских festivals, was stunned. But in no less enthusiasm were pushed Londoners, when, after a year, oratorio appeared in Covent garden. Rome, Paris, Petersburg…. the Whole of Europe applauded Haydn standing. Musicians sent to him by diplomas, medals, received the honorary members, being awarded the title, even the poets devoted his poems. It was, indeed, the global triumph of the world, which lasted for 10 years!
In the last time «Creation of the world» was fulfilled in the presence of the author on his 76th birthday, April 27, 1808. Under the pipes and drums of Joseph Haydn’s brought on a chair in the hall. Noble ladies rushed to cover him with their shawls, but the old man was still cold. Therefore, after the first part there was a touching farewell. All wept, knowing that see no more of him. And Beethoven went and kissed Joseph Haydn hand. In this year he was born on the theme of Joy, which will then at the end of the Ninth Symphony, beginning, as it is known, with the Creation of the world.
