Yesterday, October 10, in the Georgian Embassy held a press conference on the occasion of the launch of the shooting period of the film “Ursus”. And until the break plates, which symbolizes the start of filming, were long 8 years, during which Director Otar Shamatava and screenwriter Zaza Buadze worked on the script of the film, and the producers companies Fresh Production – Oleg Shcherbina and Yuliya Chernyavskaya was looking for partners who could help them to realize this project.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Artistic adventure-drama film “Ursus” will be shot by four countries: Ukraine, Georgia, Bulgaria and Germany, the budget tape over 30 million UAH. In the best traditions of the genre road movie plot will lead viewers through half of Europe – shooting prohodiat in Ukraine (Kyiv and the Carpathians), Georgia (Tbilisi and Batumi), Bulgaria (Sofia) and Germany (Berlin). In addition to innovative geographical scope of the creators decided to first large rolling Ukrainian cinema use of motion capture technology, which is long and persistently used and popularized such great representatives of the world of entertainment as Robert Zemeckis, Peter Jackson and James Cameron.The film begins on new year’s night from 1991 to 1992 engulfed in civil war Tbilisi. On the roof of the Parliament of the main character, mobilized the young Director nick (NIKO TAVADZE), hears from his friend the wish that he, as Director, when the same has won the main prize at the Berlin film festival Golden bear”. Subsequently discharged after being wounded nick returned to the Studio, where she finds only the charred remains of his debut film. There he meets a stuntman Thomas Gogol (BOGDAN BENYUK), who, not having a job, caring for no one needs Studio bear Colou (BEAR TIM). One of the main, but not a single miracles that happen with the characters, it becomes an invitation for a 5-year tour bear Heads to Berlin zoo. A complication is the sudden tragic death of the bear. And nick is not trying to break out of the ruined by the war in the country, it is a desperate act – most to change into a bear and thus to move all the borders and to be in Berlin. Van with Thomas driving experience-bear in bude begins his adventure from Georgia through Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and up to Germany. Once in their travels they meet American defender of animal rights Sonia Jefferson (JOSEPHINE DE LA BAUM). By hook or by crook she stays with them until the end of their travels. Bold and original script will implement a team of real professionals: producers of the film Oleg Shcherbina and Yuliya Chernyavskaya (Fresh Production Group). In summary Shcherbina and Chernyavsky produced them (since 2006) numerous television films and series, short films and commercials. “Ursus” is the first international co-production project in a series planned to such projects. Director Otar Shamatava, known for his feature-length films “Turandot” (1990) and “the Road M (1999). The other male lead – Georgian producer nick, – Georgian actor will play nick Tavadze, green-eyed brunette, and a master of sports in swimming, almost every role which causes great applause at home and differences abroad. “Ursus” is a great co-production of four countries – Ukraine, Georgia, Bulgaria and Germany, where Ukraine stands majorterm, as the main investor of the film (over 50%). To shoot the film will be in three languages – Ukrainian, Georgian and English. Producing, filming, post-production and sale of rights will be engaged in 9 companies. In addition to public investors – the State Agency of Ukraine for the movie, the Georgian National film Center and the Bulgarian National film Center, the film creates Georgian “Studio O”, Bulgarian “Geopoly Film”, German “Aktis Film Production UG” (+cells-agent) and for himself before – Fresh Production Group which includes: Fresh Production (manufacturing), Fresh Rental House (machinery, equipment and transport), Fresh Post Production (recording, video editing and sound), Tornado SFX (special effects) and Pirate (light, sound and stage equipment). Shooting will take place in four countries from 11 October 2013 until January 23, 2014. Post-production is based on 9 months. Finalization is scheduled for the end of 2014 year, and the premiere – on the beginning of 2015.
