The role of Liudmyla Chursina in «Autumn Flowers» became the best one


Liudmyla Chursina, USSR people’s actress has been awarded the prize of the XII International Film Festival in Berdiansk for the best role in the television film Autumn Flowers. The film was jointly produced by movie making companies «Fresh Production» and «Star Media».

Over 60 feature and documental films from more than 20 countries participated in the contest program of the festival which was held from 29 August through 3 September.

In the four episode mini-serial «Autumn Flowers» Liudmyla Chursina plays a role of a popular soviet actress Edit Beresh famous both for her outstanding talent and a nasty character. The woman was a glorious movie star at the pre-war time, but after the war Edit got into a confinement camp, her husband married a young actress who rapidly took the vacant place in the movies. All forgotten the actress found herself at a rest home for theater and movie actors. However, despite all the hardships she managed to preserve her beauty and dignity, found strength to forgive her former rival and even to meet with her.

The film is directed by Akhtem Seitablayev («The Happiness Factory», «Quartet for Two») and is based on the novel of a famous Ukrainian writer Iren Rozdobudko. Together with Liudmyla Chursina the roles are played by Svetlana Nemoliayeva, Valentin Gaft, Viktoriya Isakova, Elena Zakharova, Eleksei Kortnev, Anna Kuzina and others.

The film Autumn Flowers was launched in May 2009 on the INTER channel and will be screened for the second time on Sunday, 13 September, at 12:30 on the same channel.
