On 29 August the «Fresh Production» movie making company began shooting a new film «The Sunwheel» (previous draft name – Koleso (The Wheel)). This is a drama containing elements of mystic. The film is directed by a Georgian director Zaza Buadze («Red Lotus», «Money for the Daughter») based on the original script by Ekaterina Andriyenko and Yuliya Cherniavskaya.
According to Zaza Buadze he is going to make a beautiful, interesting and honest film with no fake thrust. Despite mystical elements the film will be as natural as possible since people have been coming across unexplained events since the very beginning of their existence, and it is at least senseless to deny obvious things that are though unproved.
The idea of the director is that all the main characters should meet certain mythological archetypes. On the whole the best representative of the film spirit is the wisewoman who carries the knowledge initially given to the man which distinguishes him from the surrounding world. It is she who helps a modern city woman who is far from nature to discover her primary roots and re-find herself, thus becoming a guide to the origins. Depicting her – says Zaza buadze – is the hardest thing, but at the same time this is what makes her interesting.
