April 23, 2012 the reading of the author & script writer Iren Rozdobudko took place in the House of cinema. The writer introduced book & film creators: director Vladimir Tihii, producers Julia Cherniavskaya & Oleg Scherbina (Fresh Production Co.)
Oleg Scherbina: Film “Button” – is one of our beloved films! We made more then twenty pictures, but this one is special. As we see, everything composed: a wonderful author, a book – the base of the film, a team- that worked on this film, Vladimir Tihii – is one of the most talented Ukrainian producers, operator Jaroslav Pilunskii, who made a remarkable picture, a composer Igor Shurov talented work. Especially in this film we should mark a brilliant actor play. For Iren it was d?but work, but she appeared as a subtle scenario & perfectly made her work.
Julia Cherniavskaya: Work with Iren, with film “Button” & this project at all was a pleasure from the beginning. At that period we shoot a lot, & I, as a creative producer, was looking for something special. So, novel “Button” was falling into my hands. After reading, I suddenly realized that it was what I was looking for! I called Iren & asked if she could write a scenario. With no hesitations she answered her yes. We wrote le it very fast, together. It was unforgettable time & the picture was wonderful. This is one of my favorite films. The hole creative process, from the first time I opened the book & started reading till the first film screening, was easy & interesting.
Vladimir Tihii: This is a good film. We love it truly. But there is a nuance that film is differing from the book. This is a film feature. If a novel was read by the most, the main characters images are formed, imagined, the most important thing is to live up to audience expectations. To my mined we were succeeded.
By-turn, Iren told us an interesting fact, connecting to film “Button” script writing:
Iren Rozdobudko: Amazing things are connecting to this “Button”. First of all, my new life started from this small button- my debut as a script writer. The second – the script for the film “Button” took the main prize for “The best script” on the International TV Festival “Olive” in Montenegro in 2008. I love this country for many years. The one more miracle is connected to the film that I imagined a Rock of “Forgiveness”. The main heroes were worked up the rock for apologizing to each other & to become closer to God. The Rock was imagined. The director found a familiar Rock in Zhitomir, where the shooting took place. After picture came out, many people visited that Rock to apologizing to each other. & it is wonderful. I am proud to found a legend. After my first script I was fascinate & started studding this kind of creativity. Now I continue script writing & teaching it at the K. Karyii University.
Nikolaj Kravchenko – publishing house” Nora- Druk” founder, informed about Iren Rozdobudko book re-editinghe”The Button”. In July 1, 2012 novel “The Button” appearied in english version.
