10 October 2013, in Kiev at the premises of the Embassy of Georgia in Ukraine, held a press conference of the international project “URSUS”. The Bureau of the conference of the project gathered the first persons of the project: Oleg Shcherbina (producer, Ukraine), Stelios Siennica (producer, Germany), Otar Shamatava (Director), Josefina de La Baum (the main character, France), Bohdan Beniuk (one of the main actors, Ukraine), Zaur shafieva (actor, Azerbaijan), as well as, an honorary member of Presidium – Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia in Ukraine – Mihail of Ukleba.
General producer of the project Oleg Shcherbina informed mass-media:
– The film “Ursus” will be made in the genre of adventure and drama tape. This picture will be charged in the form of road-movie, a story and geographically extending the audience through half of Europe. The film will be shot Ukraine, Georgia, Germany and Bulgaria, so creative team is quite bright. The Director of the tape was Otar Shamatava (Georgia), and the script wrote to her Zaza Buadze (Georgia). The operator-producer of film – Sergey Bordeniuc (Ukraine)and art Director Sergei Berestovskii (Ukraine). No less interesting cast. Starring “Ursus” released Georgians nick Tavadze (music Director Nikoloz Korinteli), French Josephine de La Baum (American Sonia, a fighter for the rights of animals) and the Ukrainian Bogdan Benyuk (Thomas Gogol, former stuntman living in Georgia). For the first time in the history of the independent Ukrainian cinema in the film will take the participation of actors who have experience of working in Hollywood is a French actor of Greek origin Georges Corraface (play directed by Jean Pierre Jeannot, the prototype of which was the famous French Director Jean-Jacques Annaud) and the German Christian Ullmann (play representative of the red cross, which will begin tragicomic journey and Nicky Thomas.
According to the Director Otar Shamatava, the picture will tell about love and escape from himself. “It will be semenuta the story of pervasive love, but it is also a story of victory. Our heroes will speak in different languages: Ukrainian, English, Georgian, German, but they will not understand each other. You know why? Because they will unite love. But love knows no boundaries, which is very good. Love knows eyes, love knows the heart is and SREDNEE all the characters”, – said the Director. He noted that the highlight of characters that each of them will be accompanied by national color and this mixture of cultures would give even greater expressiveness and charm of the characters in the film.
