March 25, 2013, on the eve of the International day of theatre, were declared winners of the twenty-first Award “Kyiv pectoral 2013″. The celebration took place in Kyiv, in the theatre. I.franka.

Theatre prize “Kiev Pectoral” was founded in 1992 by the Kyiv Union of theatrical figures of Ukraine and the Main Department of culture of Kyiv. For the first time “Kyiv Pectoral” was presented on March 27, 1993, on the international day of theatre on the results of achievements in the 1991-1992 season. The awarding ceremony takes place in the premises of the National drama theatre of a name of Ivan Franko. The winner receives a gold statuette, a diploma and a monetary award. In subsequent years, the tradition to hold awarding the prize on the international day of theatre preserved. Prize “Kiev Pectoral” notes the achievements in the categories of best drama performance, the performance of the chamber scene, a performance for children, the best Director’s work, male and female roles, the best male and female role of the second plan, best design, best musical concept of the play, the work of the choreographer. Separately awarded the prize “For the significant contribution in the development of theatrical art”. In different years the number of winners was different.
