A new reality show «Rendezvous» manufactured by Fresh Production Group is starting on air of the «К1» channel on 08 October 2011. In the show Svetlana Volnova, the project hostess, will help the heroes – single ladies – find men of their dreams. Every program will contain both female and male opinion regarding relations between the two sexes. The hostess Svetlana Volnova will challenge stereotypes about men, women, dating and relationships:

— Svetlana, you will host a new reality-show Rendezvous at the K1 channel where you will play the role of a match-maker. What is it about Rendezvous that differs it from other “soap reality shows” broadcasted on other channels?

S.V.: I believe there are a lot of programs claiming to teach women how to enchant a man. Instead talking we will go in the streets and teach young women how to communicate with men. And we will find not a single man, but three for the choice, and those will be real characters but not set-up figures, as in many other reality shows.

— So, the center of the show is a woman, who is to make her own choice. Please tell us what intricacies will you, as an experienced woman, teach your trainees?

S.V.: Оw! There are a lot of secrets: some ladies cannot flirt, some – do not know how to compliment a man, and some just do not know how to behave on a first date. And I teach them as I can – with as a stick and carrot, you know.

— And what do you think of your ladies – the characters?

S.V.: We perform a large-scale casting once in two weeks. We choose our heroes very thoroughly. Each of them should have a story of her own; there must be something special about her. We want the viewer to understand why we have decided to help specifically this lady and we want the viewers to empathize with her.

— Do any funny stories happen at the shooting?

S.V.: Yes! Many things happen when you shoot a reality show! I recommended one girl to become a “princess” – to treat herself more respectfully and with dignity. After my advice and the big change she almost drove me crazy with her fancies and rejected every man I offered. Another girl wanted me to find her a Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council) deputy. I am flattered to know girls think that I am a golden fish and am capable to fulfill any wish, but sometimes they forget that they actually attract men who they deserve at the moment.

— Is hosting a reality show a hard task?

S.V.: It definitely is. I just want to say that, however flattering it may sound, the production team provided me with the best atmosphere for my work, which is why the shooting was very comfortable both for me and my ladies. All the project staff is very tactful, experienced and friendly, not to mention the professionalism of the production team. That is why in this case it would be wrong to call my work hard.
